I love reading and read an eclectic selection. Here are my latest finds
This is such a good little read. It is set in my home city of Wellington, New Zealand after WWI. It also has parallels with my Grest Gran's life as she was a seamstress in Wellington around the time. This is the first book of a trilogy and worth the ...
Seams like Murder - Tilly Wallace
The first book in a set of three. I really enjoyed this, it's fun and funny and poignant and a great look into the Samoan culture.
Scarlet Lies (The Scarlet Series)
I don't normally read fantasy books like this but it was worth it! There is some phrasing that is beautifully poetic, it's fun and funny and has a nice love and adventure story st the heart of it.
Tress of the Emerald Sea: A Cosmere Novel
I really enjoyed this, I will have to check out the series
Lessons in Chemistry: A Novel
A great read about old Hollywood, I enjoyed this. This is the same author as Daisy Jones and the Six.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I really enjoy Liz Nugent's books, she writes so well about human darkness and frailties in such an engaging and compelling way. Her books are so worth checking out
Strange Sally Diamond by Liz Nugent
I like Lucinda Riley, this is a good read and it's a shame this couldn't have been made into a series too.
The Murders at Fleat House
A mystery thriller set after WWI, it is so well written and dark and engaging. I will read the rest of the books in this series.
River of Darkness (John Madden Mystery) - Airth
1% changes are easy to implement, I'm stopping the boom and bust approach and I'm getting better results
Atomic Habits: Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
This is funny and clever and I really enjoyed it! I'll look for the rest of the series. It's definitely English humour.
A Shot in the Dark: A Constable Twitten Mystery
This is quirky, compelling and a bit magical.
Mister Magic by Kiersten White
Loving the Bridgerton series and can't wait to watch them all!
When He Was Wicked
Excellent series, I really enjoyed these.
The Thursday Murder Club: A Novel (Mystery)
The Mister and The Missus were good reads. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed them as I didn't like E L James' last series.
The Mister
Based in a French village, Molly Sutton becomes the local sleuth. It's a bit Cabot Cove at times with multiple murders or mysteries per book. I've enjoyed the series.
