I was born and raised in Santiago de los Caballeros, DR. Since the only thing you can do is eat and drink in there (it's a small town, I don't blame them), here's my recommendations for the places you must visit when you go.
Map
Great place with great views! You can have an amazing variety of latin food while looking at the monument
El Tablon Latino
Best food in town! Great if you want to take your beloved to a fancy date.
NOAH Restaurant & Lounge
Really nice place! The salad bar is a must try, they have a wide variety of things to choose from so you can make your salad how you like it.
KGB - Kitchen, Gallery, Bistro
The drinks come in the most unconventional cups! Very interesting concept I think, I love that it's on a rooftop. Food is also so bomb! You won't regret it
La Comparona Restaurant & Lounge
A great place not only to eat but to have amazing experiences! These people really take serving food to the next level. Everything is so so good
Fusion Experience
Hands down the best brunch spot in town! The avocado toast is my boyfriend's favorite til' this day!
Café | Calcalí Coffee Roasters | República Dominicana
A great italian restaurant with a wide variety of options! Great options for pizza and pasta!
La Trattoria de Claudio
THE Chipotle dupe in Santiago, probably the best tacos I’ve eaten and the format is just so much like Chipotle!
67 Steps Mexican Grill (@67_steps_mexican_grill)
A great mexican restaurant with amazing food! Make sure you set your reservation, it may be a little hard to get but it's soooo worth it!
Aluxes Experiencia Mexicana
Been eating here for years! It’s the best sushi in town and sooo affordable
Bamban Sushi (@bambansushi) - Instagram
It's a very beautiful restaurant, has a sea theme. Try their nachos, they're amazing!
The Deck
Very elegant, beautiful and chic restaurant! They're grilled chicken is just one of the best I've ever had.
Saga Restaurant (@sagarestaurant)
A great fancy place to take a bite before going to the most relevant club in Santiago, La Ciaguapa. They're literally next to each other.
La Taberna de Pepe
If you’re a carnivore, I’m sure you’ll love this place! Best grilled anything in town. Try their churrascos, they’re to die for 🙌🏻
Restaurante La Parrillita (@laparrillitard)
Really good sushi if you're looking for the OG japanese experience in Santiago! A must go!!!
