Sometimes I just want something fast. These are recently-discoverd and now-new favorites I try to have on hand for those times!
Thick, creamy, delicious. Sweet and savory, both. It reminds me of a soup I had long ago, at a cute little place called Coffee in the Alley in Madison, NJ. They are long since gone, but I can re-live my many fond memories through this soup!
Pacific Foods Organic Cashew Carrot Ginger Soup
Savory, a bit sweet & a little kick! I swirl in a bit of sour cream! Loving this chowder!
I've converted to using only bone broth (vs. regular broth) since learning of all the additional health benefits. (Bone broth has been simmered longer than regular broth, which extracts more nutrients.) Pacific Foods has a number of bone broths to choose from.
Pacific Foods Organic Unsalted Chicken Broth, 32 oz
If you are already a fan of canned tamales, you might love these like I do! I grew up with the Hormel ones (my dad LOVED them). Recently, I came across this brand in one of my grocery stores and they are my new favorite! Such good flavor! If you don't see them in your stores, Amazon has several listings, from a single can to many multiples of cans.
La Preferida Tamales Beef & Pork, 15oz (3-Pack)
I used to get some canned refried beans that had sausage in it. Have been looking for them ever since. Recently I found these, which are similar, in one of my stores. More savory than beans/refried beans alone! Using them in burritos and on nachos! If you don't see them in your stores, Amazon has them in bulk, such as six cans.
La Costeña Charro Beans, Pinto Beans with Chorizo
I got to lots of different grocery store and scour the shelves for interesting new-to-me foods. I found this chicken chili that way! If you can't find it in your stores, Amazon has a couple of bulk options - 4 cans or 6 cans. Things are always changing, so maybe do a fresh search to see if anyone is selling single cans to try it out!
