These are some of my personal favorite pots and planters for creating an outdoor succulent garden in a small space as well as items I plan on using as I expand my garden.

Succulents are the best plants because they are so easy to keep alive! Plus they're perfect for climates that are very warm and areas that get full sun most days. As someone who lives in Southern California, I really appreciate succulents!

I have found that not many tools are needed for creating a succulent garden and I personally have very limited gardening tools. These are some of my essentials that I use when gardening.
Gloves are a must-have when gardening. They not only keep your hands clean but they can act as protection against pesky bugs (like spiders) and thorns!

If making a succulent garden in a planter, a shovel isn't really needed. I have one on-hand but honestly don't use it much. This is something I would use a lot more with an in-ground garden.

It's always a good idea to have some knee protection on hand for gardening. I grabbed mine from the Dollar Tree and they work great!

oil and other materials I used when planting my succulent garden.
At the bottom of my large and tall planters I used marble chip rocks to add weight to my planter as well as help allow water to drain through the drilled holes at the bottom. These worked great.
