The Baby Gear you ACTUALLY need to add to your registry!

Gear emoji 28 items
It can be super overwhelming when you start adding items to your baby shower registry list – there are SO many products, brands, and gear out there!  And they make you feel like you need to get EVERY LITTLE THING.  But take it from me – LESS IS BEST.  I say this for 2 reasons: number one, your baby's development can be impaired by having too many “container” devices (like swings, seats, jumpers, etc.) by blocking their natural movement; number two, having too many things can be overwhelming!  I suggest that you start with LESS and ask for gift cards on your registry – that way, once baby has actually arrived and you feel like you truly need something else, you can buy it then!

This is my favorite baby carrier, because you can change your baby to different positions as they get bigger!  Out of all “container” devices, a baby carrier ranks as the best because your baby still has to hold their head up on their own!

This is great INSTEAD OF A SWING for when you first get home with your newborn – it helps them feel secure but it doesn't restrict their movement.  Discontinue when they start to try to roll!

This is an amazing product if you think you will be traveling in the newborn phase!  We actually used this bassinet all the time at home, and then we used it as a pack n play as our children got a little older!

Pipette is my top brand for all baby skin products – they are a clean brand with minimal ingredients and I felt safe using these on my newborn babies!

Very practical but has a clean look sitting next to your sink!  If you are like me, I get overwhelmed when they are too many bulky plastic baby things sitting out!

I always recommend a nice play gym over a swing/bouncy seat – you will use this for so many months in the first year.  This one is so motivating to encourage reaching, rolling, and crawling!

These booties actually stay on your baby's feet!  And they can be worn once your baby starts pulling to stand and cruising around the house as they mimic barefeet!

We live in a small house, so we didn't have a ton of room to have equipment that functioned for a short period of time.  I am all for the big ticket items that convert into many different things!  This is a fantastic option for a bassinet to crib system!

If I have another baby, I will only be being silicone bibs with pockets like these.  Regular bibs seem worthless after using these!

I am actively trying to buy less plastic products in my house, so this silicone snack cup was a perfect replacement to the plastic ones we previously used.  Keeps snacks from ending up ALL OVER your house and great for when you are on the go!

If you are an outdoorsy family, this is the blanket you need!  It is great for being out on the grass or even on the beach.  We have a back patio that we used it on as well (and still do for picnics now that our kids are getting older!)

I love a convertible piece of baby gear!  That transitions between 3 stages – we skipped “sink baths” when our kids were newborns and started baths in this right away.  This was also great for my second baby when we started doing baths with her big brother – it helped keep them separated.

As I said before – I am all for a convertible system!  Saves you space in your house and this is also just a really good high chair.  Most high chairs lack a foot rest for the baby – a foot rest really helps with their stability when they are first learning to sit at the table!

Recommend for ALL new moms, even if you aren't nursing! It is multi-purposed -- great for all types of feedings, acts as a support for tummy time, and helps baby when they first start sitting. I even used my Boppy to sit on when I was having tailbo...

I don't typically recommend baby rockers/bouncers/swings, BUT this is the style I would buy if I was going to get one! This type of rocker is less restricting of your baby's natural movement but still keeps your baby safe!
