Solid colors

You can't go wrong with a set of solid colors. They're good for incorporating other gels like toppers or chrome (see the misc. section for some examples!), are perfect for nude looks, and are overall a good pick for minimalists.

This is one of the few nude sets that I have come across that has a dark brown for darker skin tones. The bottles are larger since this is a smaller set.

I didn't know I needed a jelly nude set until I got this one--this set has become a staple for french manicures, glazed chrome sets, and marbled looks.

Sparkly colors

Honestly, I'm a sparkle girl. If my nails don't have at least a hint of glitter then I'm not fully happy with the look. Here are some of my favorite ones that don't skimp on the sparkly factor.

This is the newest set in my collection and I've already used several of the colors. The colors in this set have multiple pigments which make them a bit more unique.

MIZHSE Unicorn Cat Eye Gel Nail Polish 7ml

THIS IS MY FAVORITE CAT EYE, HANDS DOWN! I love that it's more of a topper, so you can turn any color in your collection into a cat eye polish.

Rainbow Cat Eye Gel

This set is good if you're into Korean glass nail inspired looks! You can create a 3D look with these gels or you can encapsulate the colors with clear builder gel for a smoother look.

Reflective Amber Gel Set

I tried another reflective gel set from a different brand, but it was gritty--these have a smooth application and the sparkle pay off is amazing!

This has such as beautiful shimmer and is my go to for mermaid inspired or beach looks.

These sets have a little bit of everything! If you're just starting out I recommend selecting one of these, since you can mix the colors to get additional pigments--or you can create different hues by mixing in black, white, or clear topcoat polishes...

My personal pick for a starter gel set, since you're getting a pretty balanced selection of the rainbow. It also comes with a basecoat, shiny topcoat, and matte topcoat.

Is this set a little similar to the Beetles one? Yes. But the formula is worth it and I'm pretty sure that I've used So Hot and Go Lucky for at least 3 sets in a row.

Solid Gel 24 New Colors Set

Misc. gels that I recommend

For all other gels that aren't sparkly or solid. These gels are great for diversifying your collection without breaking the bank, since they can help elevate the look of the colors they're paired with.

Perfect for creating marble or tortoise shell nails! There is a little bit of a learning curve but it works well.

Blooming Gel

I bought this on a whim because I wanted to creater easter themed nails, but you can do so much more with it! There is a small learning curve in terms of evenly distributing the dots, but otherwise I've had a lot of fun with this topper.
